| The cultural revolution
brought about in the American way of life by the introduction of
television was refined and extended by the emergence of the Cable
Television Industry. Because of Cable, television was made available
to more viewers and a greater diversity of programming alternatives was
developed.
After the concept of Cable Television had come into existence and its benefits had been recognized, all that was necessary for realization of its potential was the production of enough hardware to satisfy the burgeoning demand, coupled with a progressional force, such as Premier Cable Communications, Inc., to put that hardware in place and maintain it with state-of-the-art technology. The success of Premier Cable Communications is due to an old-fashioned commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, combined with the utilization of ever-changing, cost-effective technology. The experience in this industry of the firm's principal, Michael N. Johnson, led him to the conclusion that such a commitment was the formula for success! Michael N. Johnson formed Johnson Cable Vision in 1972, in East Haven, Connecticut. His company performed home installations and multiple dwelling unit (MDU) installations for his earliest clients, Jerrold, Rollins Cablevision, and Teleprompter Cable TV. By 1978, the growing national need for an organization that had financial power and operational expertise to construct, install and fulfill the requirements of "franchise promising" became apparent, and Michael Johnson reorganized the company to form Advanced Cable Industries. Spurred by an ambition to satisfy that need, the new endeavor actualized promises made to city officials by franchising experts. Johnson recognized the historic breakup of Bell Telephone on December 31, 1985 as an open window of opportunity, and restructured the firm as Advanced Communications Industries, Inc. The new organization was better able to explore diverse opportunities in the communications industry and had the range and power to see them through. In its history, Advanced has had a hand in virtually every facet of cable TV enterprise. The firm specialized in cable TV installations, and in the continuing service of its widening customer base by rebuilding, upgrading and modernizing systems nationwide. Cable operators have demonstrated their confidence in the company's trustworthiness and dedication to quality by their repeat business, time and time again. After a successful, leveraged buyout of his partner, Michael Johnson became the sole owner of Advanced Communications. The move was applauded and supported by Johnson's wide customer base as well as key and long-term employees. In 1993, Johnson briefly combined forces with a firm specializing in aerial cable construction in an effort to more fully serve the needs of cable operators. By 1994, he emerged as a well-rounded, complete, full service cable contractor under the name and sole ownership of Premier Cable Communications. Now, and continuing over the next five years, the industry is placing strenuous demands upon the labor supply for cable construction. The demand for labor is ten times the presently available supply. Premier, therefore finds itself in the unique and rewarding position of being sought after. Because of the vast combined experiences of Premier's key personnel, together with their unswerving loyalty, Premier continues the tradition of quality, setting standards in the industry for performance and customer service. |
